Priory Court Farm

Priory Court Farm offers a Shepherd Hut and Cabin, as a relaxing stay on a farm in the Sussex countryside.

The site is conveniently positioned on the picturesque Cuckoo trail in Polegate. This 14 mile surfaced path through the Sussex countryside is mostly traffic free and is a safe route for walkers and cyclists of all ages, forming part of the National Cycle Network – route 21. The picturesque trail follows the former ‘Cuckoo Line’ railway track and stretches from Heathfield to Eastbourne. Also nearby is Abbots wood, ideal for off road cycling, walking and horse-riding.

Eastbourne and the South Downs are just a short drive away and offer scenic spaces to visit such as Birling Gap, the Seafront, Friston Forest and Cuckmere Haven.

The site is host to an array of wildlife including butterflies and many species of birds such as buzzards, kites, woodpeckers, and in Spring, listen out for the resident Cuckoo.

The site has horses, including the Exmoor ponies who help with the conservation grazing on the land. The site owners offer experiences meeting the ponies and groundwork lessons. Yoga and relaxation practice are also available over the summer by request.

There is a farmshop onsite offering local produce, as well as a butchers and cafe where you can sit and relax, as well as buy items for your stay. There is a BBQ for use in the community area, as well as firepits, offering a relaxing break away in Nature.
