Winford is a small village and civil parish within the Chew Valley, Somerset, England. It is 8 miles south of Bristol,16 miles from Bath and 2.5 miles from Bristol Airport if you wish to fly to the south and hire a car.
Orchard Retreat has 2 Superior Shepherds huts in their own area away from each other allowing for privacy and relaxation so you can enjoy the nature of the area.
Winford village lies on the route of the Monarch's Way long distance footpath and has one pub, and a village post office. Chew magna village 2.5 miles away boasts 3 pubs and a fish restaurant alongside a cafe, several shops including an award-winning pet shop plus numerous country walk's.
A 14 minutes' drive will take you to Chew Valley Lake, a great place to spot wildfowl including migrating birds feeding in the reed beds around the lake. Plenty of fishing opportunities in the area as well.
Cheddar Gorge and caves are a mere 13.4 miles away, a great day out for all the family with Cox's Cave, Museum of Pre-History, Beyond the View cinema, Jacob's Ladder leading up to the Lookout Tower and the Cliff-Top Walk also added within the price of your ticket.
