Ffos Wilkin is an ex-dairy farm set in 30 acres of fields and pasture. You have views of both sea and mountains, an ideal place to come for a relaxing stay, takin in and enjoying the sights and sounds of the countryside surrounding you.
Accommodation consists of large Bell tent which can accommodate up to a family of four with log burner for those chilly evenings. It has its own private cooking area with gas cooker, fridge and sink. Your own bathroom consists of shower and composting toilet. There is also a large charcoal barbecue and seated fire pit area to toast those marshmallows.
The local village has a pub with a great menu, a mini supermarket and various restaurant/takeaways including award winning Fish and Chip shop.
Just down the road is Kidwelly. This coastal town lies on the River Gwendraeth above Carmarthen Bay. It has its own castle, an ancient monument built by the Normans during the 12th century. The Kidwelly Industrial Museum is also situated near Mynyddygarreg
Other local places to visit are Pembrey Country Park, Burry Port harbour and various beaches. The Swiss Valley Reservoir which offers a relaxing walk with stunning views is only 10 minutes down the road. A flutter on the horses is also possible at the famous Ffos Las Racecourse. The Gower Peninsula is also within reach if you enjoy the longer walks or even surfing! For a more relaxing a day you can enjoy a visit to the National Botanic Garden of Wales.
