Information:
Sancreed is a small village tucked away from main roads and perfectly situated for walking through woods and valleys to the south west coast path or up on to the West Penwith moors for the incredible views, flora and fauna - recently given SSSI status. Situated in the middle of the Lands End peninsula its an ideal place for exploring this far end of Cornwall, whether by foot, cycle or car. We have lots of outstanding beaches, including some of the best surfing beaches in the country, both Sennen and Porthcurno beaches are a short drive away. We are surrounded by a profusion of ancient archealogical sites - we are right next to the prehistoric Sancreed Beacon and Sancreed holy well, with the Iron Age hill fort of Caer Bran and Carn Euny Bronze Age village both within walking distance. The nearby small ex-tin mining town of St Just has everything you need with many local shops, pubs, cafes and a Co-op. This ex-tin mining area now has World Heritage Status. Equidistant is the much larger town of Penzance with a choice of supermarkets, shops, galleries, restaurants, cinema, railway station and the wonderful Jubilee Pool lido which now has a warm geothermal section. Mousehole, St Michael's Mount, St Ives and many more idyllic Cornish harbours are all a short drive away. The Eden Project is approximately an and half drive away.
