Our camping pods are located in Cumbria, West Cumbria to be more precise and just outside the village of Gosforth.

Situated close to Scafell Pike, Wasdale, Ravenglass, Seascale, Muncaster Castle, Eskdale and the Lal Ratty we are surrounded by some of the best visitor attractions the area has to offer.
Luxurious and cosy camping pods are available within the private Victorian walled garden at Harecroft Hall.
Perfect for Couples and Families
The pods can comfortably suit 2 adults and 2 children with a double bed and sofa bed in each. The camping pods are still a relatively new way to enjoy a glamping experience which means no tent, no packing of the kitchen sink and no bedding required.

The camping pods are perfect for a back to nature getaway with the added benefit of some amazing close by walks.

Grounds and nearby

The village of Gosforth is located in the Lake District National Park on the western fringe. It’s a small pretty village with a great choice of local pubs all offering amazing food and friendly atmospheres.

Within a 5 mile radius, you’ll discover miles of sandy beaches, the famous Lal Ratty, Muncaster Castle, the seaside villages of Seascale, Holmrook, Ravenglass, Irton and more.

The area is a perfect base for walkers and our dog-friendly camping pods mean you can enjoy the area with your 4 legged friends.

A little bit further afield but still within a 15 min drive lies the Town of Whitehaven famous for its historic rum trade and amazing new marina.

St Bees which is the start of the coast to coast walk is also a short drive from us at Harecroft Hall, and we are often visited by people taking up this challenge to rest the day before.

The Lake District National Park is now a World Heritage site and as such it’s becoming a destination for people around the World. We are located 24 miles from Ambleside, 35 miles from Keswick which means we are much quieter than the main tourist destinations, this in turn brings a much slower and more relaxed way of life offer tranquil scenery and a truly relaxing break.
